Here's a rare chance to get a grey 19mm vintage Shell Cordovan watch band by the American maker Gemex USA. Discovered as New Old Stock unused from the 1950s in a popular color of the time period. Shell Cordovan is the term used for a very special leather made from a horse's rump.

A horse provides two "shells, " or circular sheets of leather. This rare material, also used for shoes and belts, is famous for its pliability and durability, as well as for the wonderful patina it develops over time. Although considerably more costly than other leathers, Shell Cordovan is an excellent investment.

The smooth, high-grade finish and unique stitching of a Shell Cordovan band gives your vintage watch a special look. Standard Length strap measures 7 3/8 inches (18.7cm) placed end to end, not including the buckle.

Metric measurements of the two pieces are 112/75mm. Flat unpadded strap that won't detract from a fine watch.

Band is 4.4mm thick where it meets the watch and 1.7mm thick at the tail end. Comes with a steel buckle but you can request a gold-tone one that will be a different style.
