Item: Vintage Circle Y Western Dark Leather Show Halter w/ Silver & Jewelers Bronze; Size Horse (I used this on a 15.1 Hand QH Mare). Condition: Very Good - Excellent with normal wear; stored in a padded halter bag in the house; one minor leather surface crack; silver is great, just tarnished; needs a good cleaning & polish. This vintage Circle Y Horse sized show halter is very refined and flatters any head. The halter is in very good to excellent vintage condition with normal wear and features supple dark oiled leather that is a bit under 3/4" wide; Mexican silver 3-1/4" buckles, cheek plates & nose plate accented with jewelers bronze; adjustable chin on both sides; adjustable between the jowl & chin; and adjustable crown.

I have kept this halter for over 25 years after losing my show mare. This halter has been stored in a halter bag in the house and it is time for it to get some use by a new owner.

I did not clean the halter prior to taking pictures and it could use a good cleaning and polish. This halter is very high quality vintage Circle Y and it is quite striking in the show ring. The approximate measurements are as follows. Crown/Poll Strap: 19" tip to tip; between the holes 10" - 14" (4" of adjustment) Note: from the top of the cheek ring to ring is 21.5 when the strap is fully extended. Nose Piece: Leather is 11.

Chin Straps: 12.5" - 15.5" measured across both + middle ring. Jowl Rolled Leather Piece: 17.5. Jowl to Chin Connector Strap: 5" - 6.5". Fittings/Connectors/Rings are all about 2", give or take 1/4". I work hard to accurately describe all items, but can make a mistake.
