Vintage BROKEN HORN Silver Leather Fancy Horse Show Halter with Ruby & Sapphire

Vintage Custom made BROKEN HORN Sterling Silver overlaid, Leather and Brass Fancy Horse Show Halter, set with Ruby & Sapphire. Hand cut from sheet silver and brass, and hand tooled and then set with 7 round faceted dark blue sapphires and 5 round faceted bright red rubies. The rubies and sapphires measure approximately 3.8 to 4 mm each and are all natural earth mined. Hand rubbed dark brown leather. This is one impressive show halter that will make you and your horse look good.

Highly detailed brass leaf cutout work, and deep hand engraved scroll work. The nose band measures approximately 10 inches from edge to edge (interior). The buckles are marked with the Broken Horn stamp in a circle and silver overlaid.

My father and my husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to their new and future brides upon their return from Europe after WWII. Many of the items have gone to family, but there are still many items that need a home, and they are listed here. There are also other items, long held family treasures that also need to find new homes, as we have no room in ours for them.
