Vintage 90s Dooney & Bourke All Weather Leather Doctors Bag Satchel in Taupe

Pebbled Leather Doctor's Purse. This 1980's / 90's era vintage handbag is an almond brown pebbled leather with contrasting handles and trim.

The 1999 catalogue from Dooney and Bourke calls this taupe with British tan. It opens at the top, with a unique double push lock piece of hardware. There's two handles, with a logo medallion and key attached.

There's a detachable strap making this suitable for crossbody wear, or carrying on the arm with the short double straps. What makes this special: Inside there are two sets of pockets - one on either side, perfect for storing an iPhone.

About the brand: This piece is from the 80s era All Weather Leather collection that made D&B so iconic. This silhouette was inspired by antique doctors bags that the founder Peter Dooney enjoyed collecting at flea markets. Another piece I've had in my collection for ages; I have included a photo of one of my kittens using it as a house. Condition: A few issues to note: there's a piece of hardware missing on the top corner, as shown in photos. One area on the front on the fold of the leather also shows some wear.

There's a small pen mark on the top. On the bottom, you'll see normal wear. This piece has been cleaned with saddle soap, and treated with leather conditioner. Measurements: please compare to your best fitting items at home to ensure a good fit! Weight: 3 lb 6 oz.
