Stunning 1930's-40s vintage HORSE HIDE LEATHER JACKET rare distressed ROCK STAR
This is a rare find - a stunning Genuine Horsehide leather men's jacket. It has a showstopper type look. It has a wonderful worn look.
The zipper is marked Conmar and I researched that particular zipper and found that it is likely a late 1930's or early 1940's jacket. The lining is worn, and the pocket lining is showing through the satin type jacket lining.
It is really soft and broken in. The zipper works, though you may want to reinforce the tab of material the very bottom of the zipper is attached to, should be an easy reinforcement.
The breast pocket zipper, if you want to close it will need to be put back on track/repaired. There are side slit pockets and a half belt style back. Lovely old jacket in good vintage condition.
No smoke odors - this is a real beauty. These are the measurements I took. Across the chest, underarm to underarm is approx 20 (so 40 when doubled). From shoulder seam to arm cuff is 24 1/2 inches.
Measuring across the back, shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 17 1/2 inches. Measuring from the collar top down the front bottom is 28 inches.
Measuring in the back from the bottom of the collar seam is 23 1/2 inches. Also I measured the seams at the waist and that is 19 inches.If you need additional measurements or photos, just let me know and I will timely respond. One side left if you are looking at it, has a lighter worn look than the other side.
