Scottish Vintage Sporran-horse Hair-tassels-scottish Thistle Leather Cantle-belt

This wonderful vintage horse hair and leather sporran was a surprise discovered in a small old box with other family momentos. The family name was on some of the items in the box.

I always like to pass info on vintage items. It appears to be on the small size-maybe young adult-measures approx. 9"h x 3 1/2"w. The back leather purse/pocket piece 5 1/2" w/pocket being 1 1/2" (see photos). The belt is chain and leather w/ silver color metal buckle and measures approx.

28 in total length (small). The Scottish thistle emblem on the leather cantle makes it unusual and does have some slight wear (see photo). The leather is old but in good condition.

The back pocket w/ button are in good condition (see photos). No names or stamps on piece. This sporran has not been cleaned - has original patina. A neat vintage piece for collectors that was a unique find. Please make sure to read the condition description area and check photos.
