Rare beautiful large Abercrombie omersa vintage leather horse / donkey footstool
For your consideration is a large vintage, hand-stitched Abercrombie leather horse designed by Dimitri Omersa. In ok condition, but for full disclosure I will try and mention any visible items that affect the condition. Photographs make up part of the condition report and please contact me if you wish additional images. I believe that this item is approx. This horse/donkey has very tight and complete stitching. The leather is a dark chocolate brown with a number of scratches and markings. One eye is perfect, the other is missing (the internal portion is complete which means there is nothing loose - but the exterior portion of the eye is missing). The mane and tail are both missing - again, only the exterior portion so all stitching is in tact. Ears are both attached but worn, with small openings/damage particularly on the right inner and outer side of the ear. There are a number of marks and scratches to the leather - the major marking is to the right hind quarters as shown in the pictures. Most of the missing damaged portion are on the right side, so when I have displayed I have had left profile facing forward and looks very striking.
None of the missing pieces has affected the stitching in their respective areas. Feet studs are all in place and firmly attached and in original condition. Underside is in ver good condition. There are no stamps or other markings.
Stands upright, tall and well balanced. Size is H: 20.5 inches (52cm), L: 27.5 inches (70cm), W: 10 inches (25cm). Kept out of direct sunlight and comes from a smoke-free home.
