Vintage Custom Midievel Friesian Leather & Metal Horse Breast Collar Be great for a Renaissance Fair or any similar display! This breast collar come out of the Perryman Ranch. Established before Oklahoma was a state, the Perryman Ranc h and the Perryman Family played prominent roles in establishing treaties with Indian tribes, and setting up postal routes in the 1800's. They are known as the "First Family of the City of Tulsa". The ranch still has the 100+ year homestead, the original barn, sweet water well and outbuildings! Back to the Breast Collar! I do not know the age of this collar. It does have writing on the leather, including Perryman Ranch markings, but nothing that denotes a sure date. Suffice it to say that the collar is old, and as such, needs some tlc. It is missing at least one buckle and possibly two. There is one small metal plate missing and the main plate with the horse on it is coming loose and will need mending. Well worth the trouble for a piece of Oklahoma Western History! Truly a one of a kind piece! Measurements not including loops or straps are 45" wide x 30" from top of plate with horse head to end of front strap x 18 from bottom of main strap to the top of the shoulder straps.
